Marcus Bean himself had previously stated that he expected his future would be away from Colchester. It’s been confirmed that this is the case for both him and Dominic Vose.

Tony Hume has revealed that talks have taken place with the two midfielders who know the score and will be moved on if this is possible.

Humes told BBC Essex: ‘We’ve had discussions and if there’s an opportunity for them to move on, they will do so.’

30-year-old Bean, also troubled by an injury this season mind, hasn’t played since August with last years 20-year-old signing Vose not being involved since mid-September.

It was confirmed by Hume that no interest has yet been expressed in the pair….

Also confirmed this week was the news that our FA Cup second round tie has been selected for live coverage on TV next month.

Having won convincingly six-three in the first round Monday nights draw paired The U’s with league 1 rivals Peterborough United.

This is a game that BT Sport have decided they want to show live. Due to this TV coverage, at 4:30pm, the game will be played on Sunday 7th December.

Still to be decided are the final ticket prices, but with discussions between the two clubs continuing, as prices need to be agreed, this should be announced shortly.
