Ex-Colchester United front-man Chris Iwelumo looks set to swap Charlton for Wolves, in a deal believed to be worth around £1m.
Iwelumo, 29, left the U’s last summer, on a free transfer, after two prolific seasons in North Essex. Despite finishing last season the Addicks top-scorer, with 10 goals, boss Alan Pardew is prepared to offload the Scottish B international.
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the expressandstar.com: ‘We`ve got Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Andy Keogh, Sam Vokes and now Chris Iwelumo and we`re trying to get rid of a couple, so we`ve got four strikers now which is what the manager wants.’
Vital Colchester would like to wish Chris the best of luck in his time with Wolves.
