Vital Colchester are given to understand…

Dann’s agent Tony Finnigan has warned that three rival Championship clubs are waiting in the wings to pounce if a deal cannot be agreed soon.

‘ …there are three other clubs in the same league who also want him, so whatever is holding it up needs to be finalised.’

Whilst Danns scored 16 goals for United, there is always the cynical fear the story is being nudged along as Mr Finnegan wants his commission in time for his summer holidays…

Steve Bruce’s board have been in negotiations with Col U since the season’s close over Dann, but the stumbling block appears to be the manner in which the fee is paid.

If Birmingham want him, they ought cough up and let us all move on. HP offers don’t really look good, even from a club who have experienced the financial setbacks that the Blues have…

  • um isnt he priced at 600,000 surely u can afford that. hasent he said he wants to join u?

  • Of course, Blues could be stumbling over the deal hoping to land a bigger fish. Danns might just be a back-up for us. I hope not since if so, it’s a shoddy way to treat a professional footballer and a fellow club.
