Wayne Brown has this morning continued to angle for a move away from Colchester United by stating in the EADT that his “head and heart” are no longer with the club.
The 29-year-old defender had looked set to stay following last night`s update by the Essex club, where owner and chairman Robbie Cowling seemed determined to pursue Brown to stay by attempting to change his mind about wanting to quit the club.
Brown remains steadfast, however, even after Cowling’s official statement yesterday. He said: “I think it would be very harsh if the club stood in my way.
“I’m still desperate to leave Colchester United, and I’ve made that very clear with my chats to the gaffer (Geraint Williams) and Robbie (Cowling).”
Brown did make it clear though that he intends to stay in training until his future is resolved.

Let him go!
Was that a sad let hom go or a happy one? It’s a new era; could have done with him an Rio stiking around, but never mind. He’s not getting any younger. What fee can we get?
Will be sad to see him go. He’ll be missed. Mayb we cud get £600,000 for im?
I just think if someone does not want to be here then you will never get the best from them, so let them go.
That is a good price. 600,000. So let’s hope the lad from Arsenal is good!
Other clubs must want him tho coz he’s a top player n he’s got a few more years left in him.
Wot I mean is those clubs wud hopefully be willing to pay a half decent price for him surely.
exactly. But we’vw yet to see who these clubs are, bar our friends at Hull City!
***** sake
…that was my professional opinion on the matter.
he is needed more than curo was.
If he doesn’t wanna be here then they should cash in on him and invest the cash back into the team.
That’s about the size of it, Stevie G!
at least he’s being honest!
Yeah. Curo was not honest. But the truth still hurts, too!
