I’m sure that plenty of clubs will be willing Colchester to beat Chesterfield tonight as it’ll boost their play-off aspirations, we’ll want to win at the Proact Stadium to boost our own hopes of staying in League 1!

The likelihood is that it’s ‘unlikely’ but is we can win tonight then we might move out of the bottom four, although it’ll involve a string of results going our way! First priority is to get something, preferably a win….

Chesterfield have a doubt over Ian Evatt (rib) after he was forced off in the draw with Barnsley on Saturday. Aside from that it’s unexpected that, as was the case in the game, they’ll name an unchanged XI as they look to consolidate a play-off place.

Sam Walker (knee) is a major doubt for us; he’ll have to successfully come through a fitness test to take his place in goal after ‘landing awkwardly’ in our defeat against Coventry on Saturday.

Captain David Fox (foot) has missed the last three-matches but it’s still unclear if he’ll play again this season or not? Matthew Briggs is after a recall and could replace Alex Wynter.

A point isn’t really enough for us at this stage of the season but if it’s that or nothing you’ll take something! We need to win tonight though, but can we manage this against the promotion chasing side?
