Colchester enjoyed a second half comeback to keep the League 1 survival bid on track after beating Barnsley on Easter Monday.

We were one-down at the Weston Homes Community Stadium at half time but a second half comeback saw us win three-one in the end to move to within touching distance of safety!

Barnsley ended the first half, which looked destined to end scoreless, when Waring (40) made the breakthrough but shortly past he hour mark Massey (62) was able to get onto the end of Norwich loanee Murphy’s cross to make it one-one.

Roles were reversed with time running out when Massey cross to Murphy (80), who headed us ahead with Massey also setting up the third and decisive goal that Moncur (86) scored four-minutes from time to make sure of the points.

Victory, our second in a row, moves us to within two-points of League 1 safety now with six-matches left.
