Colchester after Brighton striker?

Little is able to support these claims but it is being reported by The Daily Mail that George Barker could join Colchester on loan?

They report that the 20-year-old is in line to join The U’s, although they will face competition from Notts County for the signature of the Brighton striker.

Given the loan signing of Gavin Massey this is probably unlikely to happen?
