Colchester United have confirmed via the official website that Mickey Adams will become Geriant Williams assistant.
Adams joined up with the squad yesterday ahead of their training camp in Ireland.
Adams is expected to sign a contract when the team returns to Colchester from their short training trip.
Adams began his managerial career at Fulham before moving to Brighton where he gained promotion to the second tier of English football.
Premiership club Leicester City then came knocking and Adams succeeded in regaining promotion before suffering relegation in his second season.
Adams’ most recent job was as boss of Coventry City which ended after he was sacked last season

Thats a very good person to have as a number 2. Very good indeed. Can you see MA stepping up if you ever lose GW?
I could but I hope we loose neither, and you could have said that about harford last year also.
Yes I’m very happy with Adams as No 2 it’s a great appointment; better than Harford even!
