Colchester say buy to George

Colchester defender George Elokobi has left the U’s to join Coca-Cola Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers on a two and a half year contract.

Leaving for undisclosed fee thought to be £500.000, Elokobi sealed his move in the final hours of Thursday night

Elokobi 22, made it public that he didd not wish to sign a new deal with Colchester, and has moved away from Layer Road.

Making 41 league appearances for the U’s, scoring three goals George joined Colchester from non-league side Dulwich Hamlet in August, 2004.
