Colchester’s Brown The Model Pro

Wayne Brown earlier this week handed in his transfer request and unlike former team mates long departed the 29 year old defender remains totally professional stating personal ambition for wanting a transfer instead of blaming others for his decision.

The professionalism of the man is all aparent as I am led to believe that an apology was offered with the timing of his request which coincidentally came at the time of Colchester’s biggest signing to date.

Speaking to Karl Marston in today’s EADT Brown went on to say:

“Nothing much has changed in the last 24 hours. I’m keeping an open mind. The club have been in communication with me, but there has been no further offer yet,” revealed Brown last night.

“It’d difficult to say what will happen, and it’s still early days to say whether I will still be at the club for the new season.

“However, I’ve had a fitness work-out with the squad today, and pre-season training starts in earnest on Monday.

“As it stands, I’m still a Colchester United player, so I will be reporting in for training with the rest of the lads,” added Brown.

Some others really need to stand up and take note, I hope he does not go however I feel the club should not stand in his way and hope that his wishes will be taken into consideration. At the end of the day we have already lost the player lets take some cash and move on.
