Colchester United defender Chris Coyne has been named in Australia’s 26-man squad for their upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with Iraq and Qatar.

Coyne was on the bench for yesterday’s opening qualifier against Iraq, where a Harry Kewell goal earned the Socceroos a 1-0 win. The former Luton Town man was initially named in coach Pim Verbeek’s 35-man squad but impressed enough to make the cut for the latest squad.
