A NUMBER of Colchester United fans have blasted club officials over a number of unfair incidents.
It started when loyal season-ticket holders in E6, E7 and E8 were forced to make way for Leeds United fans when the League One giants visited on April, 4th.
And a group of frustrated fans decided to stand up throughout the game against Brighton & Hove Albion, on Easter Monday, as a protest to the poor treatment.
However, five U’s fans, who were standing, have said to being ejected from the Weston Homes Community Stadium for this.
This has angered a large majority of U’s supporters because a week or so earlier a couple of thousand Leeds fans were allowed to stand and congregate at the front of stands for the full ninety-minutes. No action from stewards was taken here. Strange…
One of the quintet, who was kicked out, David Fordham, told the Colchester Gazette: ‘I`m disgusted.
‘We were at the back, we weren`t obstructing anyone, technically we should have been sitting but we were trying to make a point that we just wanted a bit of consistency in the way we are treated.
‘They totally overreacted and threw us out into the arms of police,’ he explained.
‘I have followed the club everywhere and I have never been treated like that before by a bunch of stewards.’
So what do you think of this situation?
