Colchester United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this midweek’s action.

The performance by Tom Eastman in the three nil victory over Cheltenham Town on Tuesday at Whaddon Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Eastman was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘An emphatic triumph and a clean sheet was just what the doctor ordered for Colchester, who had failed to pick up three points in any of their 10 previous outings. That all changed at Cheltenham, where three second-half goals earned them victory, and Eastman’s header capped off the result.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Eastman for his recognition, but the most important thing about the match was of course the win.

Full Team:
