Former Colchester full-back George Elokobi thinks Greg Halford will succeed at Wolves.

The Cameroon-born defender says Halford, 24, has made possibly the best decision of his career in choosing to sign for the newly-promoted club.

“Greg`s a good player and he proved that in particular at Sheffield United,” said Elokobi on the club`s official site. “Joining Wolves might be one of the best things he has done in his career because we are all going to grow together and go from strength to strength.”

Halford, who was signed for an undisclosed fee of around £2 million, joins another ex Colchester player, stiker Chris Iwelumo, in signing on at Molineux for a predominantly young squad.

Halford has already joined four teams since leaving the U’s in 2007 – playing with Sheffield, Charlton, Sunderland and Reading.

So how will Halford, Elokobi and Iwelumo do next season?
