Is former Colchester United loanee Matthew Mills an own goal specialist? Or does he just have rotten luck, asks Vital U`s man, Stevie_G_Col U?
Centre-half Mills, who had a spell on-loan at Layer Road last season, was the scorer of a bizarre own goal in the 2-0 away defeat to Sheffield Wednesday last March.
With the U`s already one down early on at Hillsborough, he headed a corner into his own goal when under no apparent pressure to clear, gifting Wednesday a killer second-goal.
Now Swindon-born Mills, on loan at League One promotion-chasers Doncaster Rovers, scored another somewhat bizarre own goal, this coming in a Johnstone`s Paint Trophy quarter-final last night.
A gust of wind caught hold of a Rovers` goal kick and Mills tried to head the ball back to his goal keeper only to succeed in lobbing the ball over him, once again gifting the opposition a gift of a goal.
So is he one of the game`s own goal specialists? Or is he just unlucky?
You decide.
