Steven Foley has thrown his hat into the ring to be the next manager of Colchester United.
Foley – a former coach of the U’s – follows Kevin Watson in publicly stating his desire to fill the void left at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
‘I`d like the job and have made my interest known,’ the 56-year-old, Clacton-born coach told The Daily Gazette.
Foley, who recently left a coaching position with Ipswich Town, describes the U’s as his ‘first love’ after starting out as a trainee with them. The former defender went on to make over 250 appearances for the U’s over a ten year period.
