Colchester`s Jamie Guy, formally on loan at Oxford and Cambridge, wants to stay with Dagenham and Redbridge until the end of the season.

The striker had looked to break into Paul Lambert`s starting side. Guy, however, obviously failed to impress enough in a few short games since he regained fitness and has now moved temporarily across Essex.

The 21-year-old, who scored for John Still`s side as they beat Port Vale by a single goal on Tuesday, told the BBC: “I’ve signed for the month and hopefully I’ll extend at the end of that, but it’s all down to Colchester.”

The U`s player, a youth-team product, said if he says, his personal target is to score nearly a goal in every remaining game for the Daggers. They still have a chance of making the League Two play-offs this season.

Will Guy score his way back into Paul Lambert’s plans?
