Colchester midfield marvel Dean Hammond has admitted that the result is the key in tomorrow’s Essex Derby with Southend.
The 25-year-old is keen to ‘get the bragging rights’ as The Blues visit the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Hammond told BBC Essex: ‘Obviously it’s a big game and when we played them earlier in the season we drew 3-3 and should have won, but we’re on our patch this time and we’re looking forward to it.
‘It doesn’t matter how we win as long as we win our derby game to get the bragging rights.
‘We’re all looking forward to it so it’ll be exciting times out there.’
