Colchester are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Callum Harriott in Colchester’s two-one win over Swindon at the weekend at the County Ground was enough to earn him a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves from the Charlton loanees form so far, and not just based on the latest performance, why Harriott was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the Football League blurb read.

‘Colchester’s hot streak in Sky Bet League 1 continued with Harriott impressing again in the U’s 2-1 win at Swindon Town.

‘Harriott played a part in the first goal which was finished off by the equally-impressive George Moncur, and he grabbed the crucial second himself after a neat flick by Marvin Sordell.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Harriott for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three-points!

Full Team:

Roche (Morecambe), Coker (Southend), Husband (Fulham), Rawson (Rotherham), Dunk (Cambridge), Ince (Derby), Cole (Shrewsbury), Harriott (Colchester), Gash (Barnet), Clarke (Bury), Marriott (Luton).

Manager – Westley (Peterborough).
