Two main contenders for the dubious honour of being first to leave Colchester United this summer say they expect to stay.

Defenders Matt Health and Chris Coyne both spoke individually to manager Paul Lambert on Monday.

Our latest poll, which asks you to vote on which played you believe will be first to scramble for the exit, puts Coyne at the top with a vote-count of 55%. Others are also sure that striker Jamie Guy and defender Matt Lockwood have played their last game for the club.

Coyne however, displayed defiance in yesterday`s East Anglian Daily Times and vowed to stake a claim in the side.

“This season has been really disappointing for me,” he explained, before reflecting on his role in two up-coming World Cup qualifiers for Australia, for which he has been named in the squad.
Matt Health, meanwhile, reiterated in the same article that his future lies very much with the U`s.
“I`ve still got two years on my contract, so as far as I’m concerned I’m still very much a Colchester United player.”

Bar any fantastic offers for these two, at least, it looks like they have a fututre at the clu for now.

So do you agree that Coyne and Heath shiould be retained?
