Colchester United loanee Matt Heath has admitted he is unsure of where he will be playing football next season.

Heath, who has one year left on his Leeds United contract, arrived in North Essex in March. Since then the tall centre-half has featured four times for the U’s, with injuries preventing more appearances.

‘I’ve got another year at Leeds after the last game and I suppose I’ll have to sit down with the manager and have a chat about the future. I think it’s hard to say, I don’t really know until I’ve had a chat with the manager up there,’ he revealed to fanzine My Football Writer.

‘It really is hard to comment but I’m sure I’ll go up there, he’ll have me in his office and we’ll have that chat as soon as I get there. Then we can go from there.’

Heath insists that the decision is down to his current employers, Leeds, on whether he moves South next season.

He went on: ‘If it came down to that, and Colchester and Leeds were in agreement it’d be pretty cool for me, but like I said it’s down to Leeds first and foremost because I’m their player.

‘But I’ve definitely enjoyed my time here and if I was to end up here then there would be no problems from me either.’
