Colchester United beat non-league Histon 1-0, despite failing to shine once again.
In a goalless first-half, recent acquisition Joel Thomas came close once or twice, as the U’s looked for a break-through.
The U’s tested the Histon back-line regularly during the second-period but it wasn’t until the 82nd minute that a goal arrived.
Substitute Anthony Wordsworth curled a delicate left-footed effort over the wall and into the top-corner to win it fit the U’s.

Good to see Woody get a goal. Glad we’re not conceding many but would like to see us get some more goals.
