Colchester Manager and former No.2 to Phil Parkinson, feels Hull City Chairman Adam Pearson was too hasty in releasing Parkinson from his post.
Parkinson was sacked as the Tigers boss yesterday.
Williams said:
“I think that some chairmen aren’t giving their managers enough time. They are too quick in getting rid of them,” said U’s boss Williams last night.
“Several managers (four this year) have lost their jobs after losing at Layer Road, although Phil also had a bad home result over the weekend (4-2 loss to Southampton).
“Perhaps other teams are under-estimating the players that we have got at Colchester. Some of them seem to feel worse at being beaten by us, than by anyone else!
“I’m sure that Phil will get another job soon, but I’m just concentrating on Colchester United,” added Williams.

as chairman, pearson had to do I guess what he felt was in the best interests of the club in trying to change the situation around and succeed in survival. I, as a Hull City fan am quite saddened by the situation and the fact that Parky lost his job…I am not party to all the ins and outs and cannot really comment on the fact except that..maybe…it was too soon for him, maybe he should have stayed and had this year with the team he managed in promotion to the CCC….Parky is clearly very qualified and I am sure that as happens in life he has learnt some very hard lessons in life over this..I think that this along with his knowledge will stand him in good stead for the future..I am sure that our actiosn will become our loss into the future and that they may play a part in his future success..I have no doubt that he has given 100% in every aspect and I wish him as a fan every success into the future and hope that he returns soon a wiser person back into the game of football…
Well siad Mate I am quite sad for him and his Family, they only moved up there last week although they felt settled at Copford (just outside Colchester) as a Father I feel for them as a Football fan I have a differant view.
He had to go, it just didn’t work out for him. I wish him and his family well.
