Kem Izzet, brother of former Leicester and Chelsea midfielder Muzzy, completed League game number 300 for the U`s this afternoon at Norwich.
Izzet was a second-half substitute as the U`s demolished City 7-1 at home for a rip-roaring start to the season. The former Charlton Athletic youth midfielder has been a stalwart since signing on loan in March 2001.
He was voted the squad`s Young Player of The Year in his first full season with the U`s.
This afternoon`s landmark game sees the current-sides longest-serving man become only the thirteenth player in U`s history to complete 300 games or more for the club.
Pint-sized Izzet capped his special day with an assist and a nutmeg as United began the 2009-10 season with a bang.
