Former club coach Kit Symoms, the ex Manchester City, Portsmouth and Fulham player, has joined an ever-increasing pool of possible U’s managerial candidates.
What`s more, Symons could also be increasing his appeal among Colchester`s directors when he says he will appoint Joe Dunne as his aside, who earlier admitted an interest in coaching at senior level.
“I will be contacting (chairman) Mr. Cowling and letting him know I am interested,” he said in today’s Daily Gazette.
The U`s will refine the list, now comprising over thirty potential names for the job, starting on Monday.
He said he felt an affinity with the Essex club following his short stay last season as number two to now Leyton Orient boss,Geraint Williams.
Symons last went for at Port Vale, but was piped to it by another ex-Colchester coach, Micky Adams.
So what do you think?
