A Twitter titbit from the Norwich City reporter Michael Bailey published this evening says the jury deciding Colchester United`s remuneration for Paul Lambert retired today.
Full details of their verdict will remain unknown for a month until published officially, according an update on from the Pink`un journlaist late on Monday evening.
It seems likely from his statement that the full two days as scheduled will not in fact be needed to decide a fitting outcome.
He suggested a “reasonable” cheque was the reward heading to Essex, eight months after Lambert traded teams and delivered City the League One title having started the season as U’s manager.
