Colchester United`s manager Paul Lambert saw the light side of the transfer saga involving Hibernian skipper Rob Jones when he joking said the Scottish side value him at £20 million.
Despite reaction from Hibs to the country, Lambert was busy telling the media at full-time after the U`s win against Northampton last night that the bid was not dead.
“It`s on-going,” he is reported as saying in today`s Colchester Gazette.
“I think Hibs want about £20million for him so we`ll have to increase our offer!
“Pat Baldwin and Paul Reid were absolutely brilliant for us though and they`re playing top class football,” added the manager, who recently denied on BBC local radio that buying a new centre half was his transfer window priority.
