Colchester manager Paul Lambert is keen on keeping goalkeeper Jimmy Walker who is presently on loan from West Ham, and who played an important part in securing the U’s 3 points today saving a second half penalty.
‘He has been terrific for us since he signed and I told him after the game that he reminds me of Andy Goram in his pomp at Rangers. Jimmy is top class.’ Lambert said
commenting after today’s home win against Leyton Orient Lambert added,
‘The lads were great today and it is a big ask for them to play two games in three days, but they have done really, really well,’
‘It was a tough, tough game but the lads worked very hard today and deserved their win.
‘If you were to ask me what I wanted for 2009, it would be to get out of this league. I am not saying we’re going to do it, but the lads have done really well since we came in and I am pleased with how it’s all going.’

I Agree I think we should sign Tierney permanently aswell as hes looked solid what other positons do we need tro strenghten do you think?
Centre back and a pacy striker, that would do me.
Easter and that wycombe lad we been linked with then
We definately need some extra options in the striker department. Who have we been linked with from Wycombe?
Mike Williamson CB
Wouldn’t mind Easter and Williamson along with the loans made permanent. Up the U’s!
