Paul Lambert is insisting that Colchester United’s season is far from over yet.
The U’s failed to build on a five-match unbeaten run, against Crewe, as their home form once again remains inconsistent. The Railwaymen left the Weston Homes Community Stadium with three points in the bag, thanks to a 1-0 win. To read Vital Colchester’s match report, click here.
The U’s currently sit in 11th place in League One, six points off the play-offs, one place below arch-rivals Southend.
Following the result, the 39-year-old told the EADT: ‘We’re six points off, which is only two games. Our season is certainly not over.
‘This was a bad result, but maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that only three of our last nine games are at home, because we have been doing well on the road.’
Lambert’s side face a tough trip to league leaders Leicester City this coming weekend.
So do you agree with Lambert? Or is a play-off spot out of the question?
