Colchester’s League 1 season continued with a defeat against Crewe at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Tuesday.

A two-goal lead, given to Colchester with goals from Callum Harriott and George Moncur either side of half time saw the U’s in control but on the hour Ryan Colclough (61) got Crewe back into the game.

Marcus Haber (80) brought Alex level with them completing a remarkable comeback with an injury time winner from Ryan Lowe (90) as the U’s lost three-two!

The other results this midweek were as follows:-

Tuesday 24th November 2015
Bradford 0-0 Coventry
Bury 1-2 Scunthorpe
Colchester 2-3 Crewe
Doncaster 3-0 Chesterfield
Fleetwood 2-1 Millwall
Gillingham 2-0 Rochdale
Oldham 2-5 Southend
Peterborough 3-2 Barnsley
Port Vale 2-0 Blackpool
Sheff Utd 2-4 Shrewsbury
Swindon 2-1 Walsall
Wigan 0-1 Burton

Looking at these results the stand out ones have to be the wins for Fleetwood, Shrewsbury and Swindon?

Fleetwood, who won emphatically five-one against Swindon in the previous game, followed this up with a two-one win over play-off pushing Millwall at the Highbury Stadium to make it back-to-back wins.

They’ve been on a disappointing run of late, however Shrewsbury have hardly been ‘flying’ but there were on Tuesday night at Bramall Lane when the Shrews came from behind to beat Sheffield United four-two!

And what a reaction by Swindon to that heavy Fleetwood defeat! The Robins bounced back with a two-one win at the County Ground against promotion chasing Walsall who saw their automatic push suffer a setback.

Colchester are back in action at the weekend.
