Colchester’s League 1 season continues against Peterborough at London Road on Saturday; with this a 3pm kick-off.
Tony Humes had to be content with a two-two draw with Blackpool on the opening day and, when a penalty shootout seemed on, his Colchester side then bowed out of the Capital One Cup against Championship side Reading.

It’s certainly been a mixed week for the U’s but they’ll go to Peterborough, beaten by Rochdale but League Cup winners over Crawley, in high spirits.
