A Colchester win against league 1 relegation rivals Leyton Orient was something that we really needed at the weekend, and this win was something that we managed to achieve to give our survival hopes a boost.

Last season Leyton Orient were pushing for a place in the Championship, with us beating them two-nil at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon we might have pushed them closer to league 2 while helping our chances of remaining at this level.

An early Massey (14) got us off to a great start, with the points secured at the start of the second half when Gorkss (47) headed home a Fox corner to make it two.

Dagnall did have the ball in the net for the visitors, but this was ruled out for offside and even though we ended with 10-men when Hewitt was shown a straight red card it made no difference.

These were the pre-game poll thoughts:-

Colchester v Leyton Orient
Colchester win 50%
Draw 50%
Leyton Orient win 0%

Attention now moves away from this game and turns to our next one against Bradford and is looking for your view on what way this will go?

Select the option that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that game, and this game itself, with some views below….
