Lewis Gobern says he will willingly discuss sealing a permanent transfer to Colchester United when he becomes a free agent this summer.

The 24-year-old winger has had an spell beset by injury at Wolverhampton and doesn`t expect to be offered a new contact.

“Moving to Colchester on a permanent basis would be something I would consider. I feel I work well with the players and with the manager,” he said after recently extending his initial loan move for the rest of the season.

“But I don’t like to look too far ahead and at the moment and the main thing is to do as well as possible for the team, play games, get fit and help Colchester do well. Whatever happens after that will happen,” he told the Colchester Gazette.
