It would appear that Kevin Lisbie will not be making a third return to Colchester.

The 32-year-old, as he told The Gazette, has spelt out quite clearly that he would return to the club: ‘my agent has spoken to Colchester. They were one of the first clubs that we spoke to.

‘I’m not sure how interested they were but I’d still be happy to sit down with them and talk.

‘It’s a family club and I’m a family person. If my family are comfortable where I am then I’m comfortable and then you get the best out of me.

‘I always felt very comfortable at Colchester.’

In spite of these thoughts he said that he has not been contacted by any of the senior management, or coaching staff, at Colchester – who all have his number.

As a result that is why he does not ‘think it will happen.’

30 goals in 86 appearances, over two spells, is a good return from the striker the chances of adding more goals to appearances is unlikely though it seems?

Lisbie was released by Ipswich this summer.
