Lisbie Looking For Goal Rush

Former Charlton frontman Kevin Lisbie has promise Colchester United fans he will hit the back of the net more regularly.

The 29-year-old has nine goals to his name this season – three of those have come against his former team. He only managed thirteen in more than a decade in London.

“I’m trying to get as many goals as I can this season,” said Lisbie in the Evening Gazette on Monday.

‘I hope that my goals will start lifting us up the table and keep us in the Championship.”

‘We’re trying to be in a position where we’re not trying to get six or seven points just to catch up.

‘We said before the Charlton game that it’s a new year and a new start for us.

‘We’re trying to go unbeaten for as long as we can.’
