Speculation linking Colchester United with a sensational move for ex-striker Kevin Lisbie has increased.
After Vital Colchester swiftly reported yesterday that a transfer could be on the cards, click here, a report in today’s national newspaper The Sun also links Lisbie with a return.
The pacy Jamician joined the U’s East Anglian rivals Ipswich Town at the start of last season but doens’t appear to have a future at Portman Road. Lisbie only managed a disappointing six goals in his maiden campaign and the recently appointed Roy Keane looks set to force him out.
Despite wrapping up a deal for Frenchman Joel Thomas, U’s manager Paul Lambert still wants to bolster his striker-force and Lisbie could be the ‘experienced’ forward he is after.
