At first it seems bizarre to read: manager Geraint Williams is considering letting Colchester United`s squad players, striker Jamie Guy, winger Kevin McLeod, and full-back George Elokobi go out on loan in their quest for first-team action.
Colchester may have one of the smallest squads in the Championship, but the settled nature of the starting line-up means that defender Gary Richards has already had to go out on loan in order to get match experience on the road to recovering from injury.
Guy, McLeod and George Elokobi are all seeking regular football, although would, according to an Evening Gazette report last week, have a recall agreement built-in to any loan-deal, should Colchester suffer an injury crisis in their absence.

McLeod? Are they sure? He was in the starting XI against Burnley just after this story was published.
Not like the Gazette to get things wrong though is it? 😉
