Long-serving Colchester defender John White will add more to his game to compete for his place at the club.
The 24-year-old is very versatile as a utility player for the side, having operated at either full-back or in central midfield during his time since joining as youngster from Norwich.
Speaking in the EADT he has vowed to add a forward-reaching style to his play in order to outshine former Bristol City arrival, Brain Wilson.
“The attacking side of the game) is not something I`m renowned for, but I know it`s something I`ve got to add to my game. I`m working on it in training because if you`re going to make mistakes trying something new, that`s the time to do it.“
This is very welcome news as the popular White will cement still more appearances for the club by adopting such an attitude.
