Lomana LuaLua is ready for a possible return to the Premiership, after the former U`s Newcastle and Portsmouth confirmed that there is interest.
He told journalists in Essex, visiting a local school and his ex-Colchester mentor Micky Cook, that his agent is sorting the future after his one-year agreement with Al-Arabi.
“There has been some interest, not just from the Premier League but also from Spain, I cannot say at the moment who the clubs are – my agent is dealing with that side,” Lua Lua said, in the Colchester Gazette.
The striker had been linked with a move to Sunderland and previously confirmed to a journalist on this website in 2005 that his all-time wish is to play for Tottenham Hotspur.
DR Congo’s 28-year-old also said returning to Colchester United sometime in future would be a “dream” and that he intends to play for the club again, although went on to admit he wants to end the spell with his current club.
“When I signed here I thought it was a one-year contract. In life, certain times you make a mistake. We are looking to come to an agreement,” he said.
