The two remaining out-of-contract players, Alan Maybury and Pat Baldwin are in the process of deciding their futures.
Former Hearts, Aberdeen and Leicester City full-back Maybury will extend his contract by twelve months from the end of June, but Pat Baldwin`s fate will remain unknown until he returns from holiday.
Boss Paul Lambert explained to BBC sport this week: “Alan justified trying to keep because of what he did for us last season. He will only get better with a pre-season and is one who has a bit of experience behind him as well, which is great.”
Colchester have already given goalkeeper Mark Cousins and extension this summer.
On Baldwin`s future, however, Lambert sounded less sure: “Pat is thinking about what he wants to do. We`ve made our best offer and hopefully he will sign.”
Will Baldwin sign?
