The loan arrival of Tottenham’s Kenny McEvoy was confirmed ahead of our meeting with Bradford this weekend.

Tony Humes had announced earlier in the week that the Republic of Ireland U21 international, who has been caped at levels from U16 onwards, would be coming in on loan – he played for us, and actually scored twice, in an U21 game on Monday.

He’ll now spend the remainder of the season with us, much to Humes’ delight with him speaking very highly of him on the official website and thankful that the winger will add us another attacking option.

Commenting: ‘It’s great that the paperwork has all been done and we’ve finally got Kenny.’

‘We knew we were getting an exciting young talent and Kenny had a great start with us scoring the two goals on Monday night.

‘He is another attacking option for us and I hope that he settles in and enjoys his time at Colchester United.’
