Adam Virgo admitted he felt sorry for team-mate Izale McLeod after the on-loan front-mate was stretchered off with a nasty looking knee injury, in the U`s 4-1 crushing at Plymouth.
McLeod went down under a challenge from Hungarian defender Krisztian Timar and received lengthily treatment on the pith, before being carried off on a stretcher. Since then, it has been revealed that McLeod travelled back on the team coach to North Essex and was to have a scan today.
‘It’s never nice to see any player stretchered off.’ Virgo told The Colchester Gazette.
‘Izale has come in on loan and I feel sorry for him.’
‘I don’t know the full extent of the injury yet but I wish him a speedy recovery.’ He added.
