Colchester United youth product Medy Elito believes he has what it takes to make it at the club.
Elito has enjoyed mix career so far with the U’s; after bursting onto the scene around three years ago he made a fantastic first impression. However, a change of managers and loss of confidence saw Elito’s career hit a halt.
Following a loan move to League Two, Elito found some form and is now ready to kick on in a U’s shirt next season.
‘The spell at Cheltenham has given me a great deal of confidence and I know I can make it as a Colchester player now,’ he told the EADT.
‘I had a great time at Cheltenham, but I want to play at the highest possible level and I think I am good enough for Colchester.’
Elito admitted the surprise move away from the club by manager Aidy Boothroyd hit him ‘hard’ but is now looking forward.
‘I felt I was just hitting my stride as the season ended and now I just can`t wait to get back to pre-season and hit the ground running,’ he concluded.
