Colchester United owner Robbie Cowling has admitted he fails to understand why the club would have any obligation to give Norwich City added tickets… Too right, Robbie!

The U’s and City clash at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, on Saturday and the visiting sides claim for an extended ticket allocation has caused for fiery views from both clubs and its repsective supporters. Despite requests from Norwich, the U’s rightfully stood-firm and stuck to the normal away allocation for the game.

‘Why should we have given them extra seats?’ Cowling told the EADT.

Relations between the clubs have been flaired for a number of months, after former U’s boss Paul Lambert walked out in favour of a move to Carrrow Road – with compensation yet to be decided.

‘We have given them a whole stand and we will fill the rest with our own fans,’ continued Cowling, who has been justified in his decision following news the game is sold out.
