New Boy Ben Out For Two Months

Colchester United’s latest signing Ben Coker has been ruled out for around six to eight weeks.

Coker picked up an ankle injury during a pre-season training session, which was revealed to be ligament damage. The news means he will now miss the start of the new League One season.

U’s boss, John Ward, explained: ‘It was a freak accident but it’s quite a nasty one.

Ben has started so well and it’s a shame for him but it could have been a lot worse.’
