Colchester United transfer-target Jermaine Easter has signed for fellow League One side Milton Keynes Dons.

Easter, of Plymouth Argyle, has been strongly linked with a return to the Weston Homes Community Stadium after a somewhat short but impressive loan spell last season. Vital Colchester commented on this speculation, click here.

Easter, who heads to Stadium:mk for an undisclosed fee, told the Dons official site: ‘It feels great to be here; when you get the feeling for somewhere, like I have here, it’s really exciting.

‘I’ve come here for promotion, it’s as simple as that. That’s what we should be targeting as a team and I’ll be giving my all to help the team achieve that.’

U’s boss Paul Lambert and Easter worked together at Wycombe Wanderers and The Scotsman is a known admirer of the pacy forward.

Lamber recently revealed how he has failed to sign a long-list of strikers this summer, click here.

So who do you think will join now any deal Easter is dead?

To be honest, I’m glad! Good signing for the MK. But if he was going to have the attitude he did with those comments about the club feeling like a trraining session on a matchday, then he’s not worth signing for the U’s. It was an old friendship between him and Lambert that nearrly worked at the time for both parties… we needed goals, he needed fitness! Good luck to him!

Think he would have done ok, but got to look at some others now and try and bring them in.

You havent missed out on much. He was at Boston a few seasons ago and looked very ordinary.
