In-coming Colchester United boss John Ward does not have an inside track on Kevin Lisbie`s future plans, despite working with him last season.
The Ipswich striker spent it playing for the U`s under first Paul Lambert, who left for Norwich and then Aidy Boothroyd, now Coventry City manager.
“I haven`t spoken to Kevin regarding this situation as yet,” the 59-year-old Ward told a press conference yesterday, following disclosures of one-to-one chats with previously out-of-favour players currently with the squad, defender Pat Baldwin and striker Steven Gillespie upon his arrival as new manager.
Former Charlton forward Lisbie remains on Colchester United`s radar but has also drawn reported interest from both Southampton and recently-promoted Millwall within the last six months as he faces an uncertain future.
