Ex-Colchester boss Phil Parkinson is being touted as a possible replacement for John Collins as Hibernian manager.

A report in today`s Sun newspaper claims that Parkinson, now assistant manager at Charlton, is wanted to fill the vacant managerial hot seat at Easter Road.

Parkinson, who guided Colchester to promotion two seasons ago, left Layer Road under controversial circumstances in the summer of 2006, to join Hull City.

Parky, as he was known by the Layer Road faithful, lost his job at the KC stadium, a few months later, following a poor start to the season.

He then joined Alan Pardew`s team at Charlton, but now he might well feel the time is right to go back to becoming a full-time manager.
