Fellow U`s striker, Clive Platt, has hailed returning Colchester man Kevin Lisbie as a “great signing.”

Speaking to the EADT this week, Platt, who played with Lisbie before he left for Ipswich last season, said: “Kevin is a great signing and it’s a really positive move by the club. With his history here at the club, he knows what he is coming in to.

“There is no doubt that he will look back on his time with fond memories and that would have persuaded him to some back to Colchester.

“He is a great addition to our forward line – he will score goals himself, as well as creating for others”, he added.

Platt said he couldn`t wait to reunite with Lisbie as the U`s look to mount a League One promotion push under Paul Lambert next season.

Lisbie could be in line for an appearance this weekend against Norwich, a club where he was loaned to when he played for Charlton.

So are you pleased with Lisbie?
