Posh Man Wary Of Platt Danger

CLIVE PLATT has been marked as the U’s danger-man by Peterborough United defender Gaby Zakuani.

The Colchester United target-man should be back for the clash at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, in what is a vital game for the visiting Posh. Platt, 31, has missed the last two U’s games due to personal problems.

The 10-goal striker is always a handful for opposition centre-backs and Zakuani is expecting no different on Saturday.

Zakuani, 22, told The Peterborough Telegraph: ‘Platt is a handful. You know what you are going to get from him, but you can’t always stop it.

‘He’s physical and good in the air so you have to be aggressive with him so he doesn’t walk all over you.’

Platt, an ex-London Road player, netted on his return there in November, Zakuani added: ‘I marked him at our place earlier this season when he scored with a header so we know he’s dangerous, but I’m confident we can keep him quiet and go on and win the game.’

So do you see Platt as the U’s biggest threat? Or would you earmark someone else?
